My Theme For 2018: Focus On Service

Hi folks! Kellyn here! As 2017 draws to a close you might be considering some resolutions to start the new year of 2018 off right. Well, we all know that never works but I do find that having a theme for the year can get you started in the right direction. My theme for 2018 is focus. As I've been trying to grow my business I have learned that a lot of my marketing and services were not focused on a particular niche and it was very hard to attract the type of client I wanted (of course that's because I wasn't sure). After a lot of soul searching and lots of professional development courses I now know the path I'm going to take with Gattai Digital and now I'm going to share that with you.

I initially started Gattai because I wanted to help people with their computer issues. Lately though, I'm finding that I'm tired of just fixing things that are broken and then having them break over and over and over again, which means I have to fix them over and over again. I see it happen every day and no one seems to be asking about solutions or they are and no one is answering. My aim is to be proactive and prevent issues before they happen, create systems to fix common business problems, and in general make work and life easier for everyone. So that's what I want to do but the real question is, who will I do it for?

The answer is simple, I will be targeting Service Businesses. Typically 1-10 person businesses that provide services to others. Whether you are a photographer taking photos for weddings, a bed and breakfast providing lodging services for travelers, or someone who works for a non-profit that provides valuable free services to the community, I want to help you provide your service better and make more money doing it. I feel like this is a perfect fit for me because I too operate a service business so everything I learn about running my business I can share with you to help you run yours. I am out of the computer repair game and am going full force into the IT Consulting business. I am very excited about making this transition and I hope to take my business and yours to the next level.

What This Means For You:

So, my marketing and services from now on will be focused on helping fellow service businesses become more efficient and make more money using Cloud based technologies. If you run a service business (and that's a pretty broad category), I can provide consulting and implementation services to get you up and running faster and better. If you are someone who is planning on starting a service business in 2018, stay tuned to my blog as I will be making resources available both free and premium to help you get started on the right foot.

Oh and I haven't forgotten about you residential folks. Sadly, I won't be focusing much of my blogging on you guys. I find it's much easier for me to market to service businesses than it is to market to residential. I find that residential IT consulting is something that can work and am willing to do but it won't be the bulk of my work anyway because of the nature of my industry. Anyway though, if you still need my help feel free to contact me and I will be happy to help as best I can and if the help you need doesn't fit my business I can refer you out to someone who can help you better than I can now. Also stay tuned to my blog and weekly digest as well because I will be posting stuff on Google Chrome, Chromebooks, Gmail, and more that you might find useful in your everyday computer use. Also I will still be providing my maintenance plans for residential so I'm not getting rid of that side of my business completely.

So what is your theme for the new year? Is there anything in your business you want to improve? Let me know and I'll see if I can help! Thanks to everyone who has supported me over the past few years. And I look forward to helping in 2018! :)
